The 2013 International Student Online Exhibition is a non-juried exhibition, open to all current full-time student members of GAS. All pieces are original, professionally crafted, contain glass as the main element and were designed/created between 2012-2013.

JURIED SELECTION CATALOGUE COMING SOON...
 
In addition to this all-inclusive exhibition, three distinguished jurors - Ann Mulrooney, Marc Petrovic and Ken Saunders - have selected works to be featured in the first ever GAS International Student Online Juried Selection Catalogue. This digital publication will highlight the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, honorable mentions and additional selected works.

2014 Chicago Conference Proposals have been reviewed and a preliminary schedule is put together.
 
This year a total of 97 proposals were submitted for the Chicago Conference!
45 Lectures - 24 demonstrations - 16 lecmos - 16 panels

Strengthening Community, Collaboration, Forging New Bonds

Chicago is second to none when it comes to a thriving, diverse cultural scene. The conference will focus on artist communities and collaboration, the forging of new bonds and new materials, bringing together artists with diverse backgrounds, techniques, and design aesthetics.
 
Presentation Proposals were due April 7th, 2013.
 
GAS invited presentation ideas highlighting the theme in lectures, demonstrations, lec-mos, and panel discussions.

The Glass Art Society (GAS) is an international nonprofit organization founded in 1971 whose purpose is to encourage excellence, to advance education, to promote the appreciation and development of the glass arts, and to support the worldwide community of artists who work with glass. GAS members are artists, students, educators, collectors, gallery and museum personnel, writers, and critics, among others.  Application for membership is open to anyone interested in art made with glass.
