The 2008 GAS Journal will document the Glass Art Society's 38th Annual Conference, to be held in Portland, Oregon, June 19-21, 2008. The conference will bring more than 2,000 people from 31 different countries to Portland to witness demonstrations, lectures, the Corning Museum of Glass Hot Glass Roadshow, and other spectacular events that were part of this historical conference. The Journal will cover it all, and will be mailed in January 2009 to all GAS members (currently around 3,300), and to libraries and organizations around the world. Back issues are ordered throughout the year from individuals, libraries and schools. Glass artists and enthusiasts look to the GAS Journal as an invaluable source of information on the progress of contemporary glass.
