If accepted, you will pay the reduced work exchange conference registration fee, with commitment to work 11-13 hours during the conference.

DETAILS Applications accepted Jan 15, 2010 - May 24, 2011. All applicants must be able to clearly communicate in English.
All Work Exchange participants must be current members of GAS through June 2011. Membership fees are not included in the conference registration fee. (Full-time students must provide proof of status with a photocopy of current student ID, transcript, or letter from school on school letterhead.)
Accepted Work Exchange participants must complete the special online Work Exchange Conference Registration and pay with Visa or Mastercard, or a check payable to the Glass Art Society in US funds from a US bank.
Each participant will choose their own work schedule from the available slots. You must work a minimum of 11 hours but no more than 13 hours are needed.
Use the Job Descriptions sheet and Schedule Grid showing what days, times and jobs are available when to assist you in determining your work preferences.
Your chosen work schedule will be reviewed by GAS staff and confirmed with you within two weeks of registering.
If at any time you find that you cannot complete your work exchange schedule you must notify GAS staff immediately at or by calling (206-382-1305).
If you do not complete ALL the hours you are scheduled for you will be invoiced for the difference between the work exchange conference registration rate and the general on-site conference registration rate. There will be NO credit given for partially worked schedules. A time sheet must be kept on-site, signed by team leaders after every shift, and upon completion be returned proving all hours were worked.
Cancellations received in writing before April 1, 2011 will receive a full refund.
Any changes to registration received in writing April 2 - May 15, 2011 will be subject to a $35 administrative fee.
There will be no refunds after May 15, 2011.
Membership fees are non-refundable.

Enrich your conference experience and help out GAS by volunteering a few hours of your time at the Seattle conference. Have some behind-the-scenes fun in the days during the conference. Conference attendees as well as locals are invited to assist in volunteering during the numerous events and activities. Volunteers receive no compensation other than great appreciation.
