Getting Your Work to the Conference
Please deliver your work to the conference packed well enough for carryout.
Hand-Delivering artwork – Highly Recommended!
Artists are encouraged to hand-deliver their work to the conference – packed well enough for the successful bidder to carry it out safely.
AUCTION: Drop off your artwork at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago on the 6th floor in the Spire Room at the following times: Wednesday, March 19, noon-5pm; Thursday, March 20, 10:30am-1:30pm; Friday, March 21, 9am-1pm.
GOBLET GRAB: Drop off your goblet/drinking vessel at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago on the 4th floor in the Exhibit Hall (at the back of Tech Display) at the following times: Wednesday, March 19, noon-5pm; Thursday, March 20, 10:30am-1:30pm; Friday, March 21, 9am-11am.
INT. STUDENT EXHIBITION: Drop off your one student artwork at the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago on the 4th floor in the Exhibit Hall (at the back of Tech Display) at the following times: Wednesday, March 19, noon-5pm; Thursday, March 20, 10:30am-1:30pm.
Shipping artwork to the Conference
If you cannot hand-deliver your item, you may ship donations (at your own expense). Please insure your package and indicate that it must be signed for. Shipped work must be received in Chicago by March 14, 2014. Complete the 2014 Silent Auction Donation Shipping Form. Include one copy of the form in your shipped package and email a copy to . Email or call 206.382.1305 for the shipping address.
A commercial packing and shipping service will be on site after the auction on Saturday evening. GAS assumes no responsibility for the shipping of purchases or for those items not picked up immediately after the Auction, Goblet Grab or Student Exhibition. Once you have made arrangements with a shipping vendor, GAS cannot, by shipping regulations, intervene on your behalf with the shipper. You must resolve any concerns regarding artwork damaged or lost during shipping by contacting the shipping vendor directly.artwork
GAS promises to handle all Auction, Goblet Grab and Student Exhibition items with the utmost respect and care, and to update you on the status of your donation, but GAS nor any venues holding GAS events are not responsible for breakage, theft, or loss.
Unsold works of art that are not reclaimed by their donor at the end of the Auction, Goblet Grab, or Student Exhibition events become the unrestricted property of GAS. GAS shall be entitled in our absolute discretion to exercise disposal of the work as we deem appropriate after this time.
All purchases are final and must be paid for and removed from the premises during the evening of the event. Purchased items that are not removed at the end of the Auction, Goblet Grab or Student Exhibition events will be shipped at the purchaser’s expense. No exchanges or refunds allowed.
The Glass Art Society reserves the right to deny applications for Technical Display, advertising participation, GAS membership or the conference from anyone for any reason.
