After receiving a BA in 1992 from U.C. Berkeley in Social Change (Interdepartmental Field Studies Major), with a minor in Conservation and Resources Studies, David Willis began flameworking glass in 1994. He has taught flameworking at various locations including the Pilchuck Glass School, and the Niijima Glass Art Festival, and the Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass, and has been an Artist in Residence at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA. David's work is included in public, private, and museum collections nationally and internationally. David lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife Erika and their dogs. davidwillisglass.com
