Ki-Ra Kim

Ki-Ra Kim was born in Inch'on, Korea and trained at Pilchuck Glass School and Rhode Island School of Design in the U.S., as well as at Hong Ik University in Seoul, Korea. She has held one person exhibitions in Seoul since 1989 and has shown work in exhibitions in Korea, the U.S., and Japan. She works with the dual attributes of glass: strong and fragile, soft and sharp, attempting to express her feelings through the transparent glass and her passion for daily life through the opaque glass. She currently resides in Seoul.
