Tommie
Rush lives and works in Knoxville,
Tennessee. She earned her BFA at the
University of Tennessee and has studied at the Arrowmont School of Crafts. Her work is included in the
collections of the Mobile Museum of Art in
Mobile, Alabama; the Sheldon Art Museum and Sculpture Garden in Lincoln, Nebraska; and the Renwick Gallery in
Washington, D.C., among others. She has recently
shown at the Fine Arts Center in Colorado Springs, CO Lighthouse Center for the Arts in Tequesta Florida,
the Odgen Museum in New Orleans, LA and the Mint Museum of Craft and Design in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is
on the Glass Art Society board and the American Craft Council board and
recently termed off the Penland School of Crafts board.
