The Journal is a printed, keepsake publication that documents our annual conference through text and photos. It is mailed in the spring to all current members (and to those who attended the conference), and back issues are ordered throughout the year by individuals, libraries, and schools. It has become an invaluable document of the progress and evolution of contemporary glass art. It is also available for download and viewing on the GAS website.
To reserve an ad in the Journal, please print and fax (206-382-2630) or mail in a signed GAS 2012 Toledo Reservation Form. Please note that the 2012 GAS Journal (Toledo conference) is published and mailed in the spring of 2013.
Deadline: Digital art and payment in full due August 30, 2012.
GAS web ads appear on the Glass Art Society homepage, as well as on many other key webpages at www.glassart.org. Limited to six (including one for GAS itself), ads scroll continuously. Readers may click through to the URL of your choice. You may provide either an ad or simply your logo. Ads run from early April to late March. Ad rates, deadlines, and design specs can be found on the Web Ads form. Please contact the GAS office to learn whether any Web Ad spaces are currently available.
Marketplace—The Glass Resource
Marketplace is designed to put glass resources front and center, easy to find and easy to use. It is open to those providing services, equipment, and supplies to glass artists, including publications and organizations. Marketplace ads run November through October, but can be pro-rated for those who have missed the beginning of the cycle. Rates run $50–$750.
All conference delegates receive this vital booklet of 80–100 pages that includes the conference schedule, presentation abstracts, presenter bios, Technical Display information, and more.
The Program Book only allows for 8 pages of advertising. (Not included in this figure are messages from our sponsors.) Ads may be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis, with Tech Display participants getting priority before February 16, 2012. Ad rates, deadlines, and design specs can be found on the Program Book Ad form.
Conference Tote Bag Inserts
The Glass Art Society “Bag Insert” program offers the opportunity to provide promotional collateral for distribution to all conference delegates via the conference tote bag for $500. Bag inserts are typically one-sheet flyers or single postcards. There are some restrictions. Production of promotional collateral is the responsibility of the advertiser. The quantity required varies from year to year, between 800 and 2,000. Please contact GAS after April 1 for the most up-to-date projection of quantities required.
