Envisioning the Future::BOSTON 2013
“There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why... I dream of things that never were, and ask whynot?” Robert F. Kennedy, April 5, 1968
Entering into its sixth decade, the studio glass movement has achieved many accomplishments and has even covered the globe. Our successes did not come easily, nor are they easily sustained. Therefore, in Boston during 2013, we will gather our collective knowledge, utilizing the equity of our current achievements, and think outside the box to address "Envisioning the Future". Since our industry employs both areas of art and science, we will be supported by Mass Art and MIT in developing innovative ways of sustaining our practices and inventing new possibilities for our future.
All submissions meeting these requirements will be reviewed by the GAS Board of Directors and conference co-chairs.
Notifications will be sent anytime between April through June.
Travel to and accommodations during the conference are the responsibility of the presenter.
If accepted, a presenter will be contacted by a GAS Board member or conference co-chair and will be required to sign a contract and submit information for promotional materials by a certain date.
