BOIL, RAKE and MELT!
February 2, 2014
FEBRUARY 2 & 9
In this two day workshop you will create unique patterned components using different ways of manipulating hot glass in the kiln. You will explore the process of boiling glass, raking, while the glass is at melting temp., and creating your own screen melts using steel wire with a mix of glass rod and scrap. These components can be used later in larger pieces as design elements. Beginners and repeat students are welcome. All materials, tools and kiln firings for class projects are included.
