ABOUT

Karen Donnellan is a visual artist, educator and writer. She received a Bachelors of Design from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Ireland and a MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology, New York. She is a past board member of the Glass Art Society and contributes to their publication GASNews. Karen has exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including the Irish Museum of Contemporary Art, Traver Gallery, WA, and the Burchfield Penney Art Center, NY. Karen has participated in artist residencies at Pilchuck Glass School, the Toledo Museum of Art, Edinburgh College of Art and the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. In 2014 she presented "Cercle", a solo exhibition of new work at the National Craft Gallery of Ireland. Karen is Assistant Professor of Sculpture and Glass at the New York State College of Ceramics, Alfred University, NY.
