In 1996 along with my wife Kim we opened the first Glassblowing Studio in Metro Atlanta. I just wanted to blow glass and make art; but Kim, not an artist, was aware that we were seeding a glassblowing movement. In fact, today Atlanta has a thriving emerging glassblowing communty.
I have a BFA in Jewelry Metalsmithing with a Glass concentration and an MFA in Glass both from Kent State University as a student of Henry Halem. Today I Live and work in Atlanta's historic and gentrified Old Fourth Ward in a beautiful rustic studio in the middle of downtown Atlanta. I work in custom lighting specializing in chandeliers and pendants and our studio is accomplished at small as well as large projects. I do corporate commissions, awards, fucntional art glass sales and we teach classes. Located in a rich and exciting part of the city we are an event destination and host a constant stream of Glassblowing "Date Nighters" and Parties.
I continue to love to create in hot glass and to share the magic of it through my work. As a studio, we hope to continue to nuture and offer opportunity to all who come along and to keep working on growing our small ATL glass community. Come see us if you're in town.
