Dr. Glen Cook came to Corning in 1998 after completing his doctorate, with a dissertation on fundamental aspects of the float glass process. Since coming to Corning, Glen as been named an inventor on over two dozen patent applications, and advanced to the level of Senior Research Associate. As the chief scientist at The Corning Museum of Glass, Glen has been a close collaborator with Museum gaffers, utilizing their skills to advance product and process research at Sullivan Park, and advising them on content for hot glass programming. He is the technical advisor to the new Specialty Glass Artist-in-Residence program. // Materials scientist with 20+ years expertise in glass, ceramics, and metallurgy. Work closely with artists to teach and learn how scientific and engineering fundementals can inform and be informed by art and craft methods and materials.
