Amanda Nardone

I am a current undergraduate student studying the social construction of gender in an art context. I specialize in flame working and digital media. I am a visual/kinetic learner with lots of background in human movement and personal training. I depend on collaboration and social meaning and I think of myself as a friendly person although my work is politically loaded. I use glass, performance, fibers, and found objects to make work. I manipulate the human body through projected images to alter reality. I superimpose glass onto skin to pose the question “when is beauty dangerous?” I use the human body as a source of inspiration for transformation into bizarre fashion that rides the line between sculpture and runway.
