Create+Collect=Connect Opening Reception
June 5, 2014
Create+Collect=Connect is the next glass exhibition to be featured at the National Liberty Museum. The exhibit runs June 5 – August 31 and brings collectors and artists together to generate a greater appreciation for art made from glass. It will feature one or two favorite pieces from the collections of nine regional collectors, alongside a piece contributed by the same artist. The installation of the dual pieces, along with personal insights provided by both the artists and collectors, is designed to provoke a dialogue between the creators and collectors of glass art.
The Opening Reception to formally celebrate the exhibit will take place on June 5, 5:30 – 7:30 pm and will provide an opportunity to meet some of the artists and collector participants. Also, Glass Artist Eva Shelley will present a flameworking demonstration. Light refreshments will be served. This event is open to the public: Adults $7, Seniors $6, Students $5. Admission is free for Museum Members & Donors. RSVP to Anna Boothe at firstname.lastname@example.org. The museum is located at 321 Chestnut St, Philadelphia.
