Delores Taylor uses the five various techniques of pâte de verre. Combining techniques so the idea prevails instead of the technique used. This type of glass has disappeared and reemerged from Ancient Egyptian times to the 1900’s during a French revival. It is this disappearance that inspires her to teach domestically as well as internationally. Her work has been shown at West Valley Art Museum, The Bata Shoe Museum, Kentucky Museum of Art and Design and the Museum & Art Center in Sequim, WA. “I see my kiln-cast work as metaphor of the change around us and explore the varying degrees of fragility and strength I find in life”. She is part of the permanent collection of Microsoft, Aylett Survey and Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute.
