Marshall Hyde


Marshall Hyde is a mixed media artist working primarily in glass since 1990. He is also a glass educator, teaching workshops at The Studio, the ISGB Gathering, The Flame Off in the UK, and the International Flameworkers Conference in Salem, NJ; and has been a teaching assistant at The Studio and Pilchuck, for artists like Jiří Harcuba, Vittorio Costantini, Rudi Gritsch, Henry Halem, and Jan Mares. Marshall is also an independent curator, organizing exhibitions in the US and abroad, including "The Exquisite Corpse in Glass: Figurative Flameworkers Play a Surrealist Game," a traveling exhibition created for the Castellani Art Museum at Niagara University; and "Glass Beads Now: An International Survey," for Exhibit A Contemporary Art Gallery in Corning, NY. He was a co-chair of the 39th Annual Glass Art Society Conference in Corning, NY in 2009.
