Jamie Wilson Goodyear originally of Gander, Newfoundland, Canada, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, studio arts, from NSCAD University, Halifax, in 1996. He currently lives in Montréal. He first came to glass, with stained glass, in 2001 and in the same year he set up his own stained glass studio. After a life changing trip, in France and Spain during 2006, he started studying glass in a determined way. He earned his technical diploma in fine craft, studio glass, from Espace Verre, Montréal, in May 2009. In October 2011 he completed his Master of Art and Glass Science from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Portugal. Currently he is working toward his technical diploma in fine craft, ceramics at Centre du Céramique Bonsecours and his PhD in Studies and Practices of Art at the Université du Québec à Montréal. He has exhibited in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Québec, New York and Portugal as well as curating exhibitions in St. John’s, Halifax and Montréal.
