As a teenager, Cody Nicely had the opportunity to visit the glassblowing Mecca of Murano, Italy. The master placed a pair of tweezers in his hand and guided him in his first creation. This interaction between the glass, a master and student captured his imagination, and sparked a passion. Resurgent development was stimulated in college and interaction with outstanding mentoring artists stoked the fire.
Today his work, featured in galleries nationwide, is an interpretation of how life interacts within its environment. His art has expanded and multiplied allowing others to enjoy his abstract and realistic representations of aquatic life. Each piece is hand blown, hot sculpted and one of a kind.
