Niki Hildebrand is a multitalented artist contributing to the art world in the mediums of glass casting, sculpting, flame working, panelling and stained glass as well as in drawing, painting and printmaking. She has been awarded and received grants, scholarships, fellowships and financial aid from the WH Mellon Foundation, Pilchuck Glass School, Penland School of Crafts and Rhode Island School of Design. Hildebrand has sold internationally mostly through word-of-mouth as well as solo shows and through sales at auctions. She tends to make work that comes to her in dreams but also has been known to be available for commissions. Her work is held in permanent exhibition at the offices of the Open Space psychology and therapy centre, Porters Neck yoga spa, NC Museum of Art Wilmington, And can be seen this year at the Philadelphia NL Museum and Museum of Northwest. Hildebrand's work was recently commissioned and installed for permanent public display at the University of North Carolina and for Western Washington University.
