Justin Gaynor has been working with glass for 11 years. He has explored a variety of art glass styles: glassblowing, lampworking, hot and kiln casting, mosaics, and fused glass. His current focus is kiln formed glass sculpture, platters, and bowls.From 2001 to 2004 Justin was a teacher’s assistant at Urban Glass in Brooklyn, New York. He has also been a teacher’s assistant at The Studio in Corning, New York. From 2005 to 2009 Justin owned The Studio 150. The Studio 150 was a studio and gallery where Justin and other artists hosted shows and open house events to display and sell their artwork. In 2008 Justin began to teach glass art classes through the “Underground Art” program at The Studio 150. In 2011 Justin has opened Grumpy Glass Studio, where he creates his new kiln formed glass artwork. Justin’s original and commissioned art work can be found in exhibits, private collections, and art auctions.
