ABOUT

Lou Krueger received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northern Illinois University, with a BFA in Metals and his MFA in Photography. During the past thirty years he has taught art and photography at NIU, Elgin Community College, Syracuse University, and currently Bowling Green State University. He was one of the co-founders of the Syracuse University art photography program, served as the Chair of Art Media Studies (SU), as an Assistant Dean of Visual and Performing Arts (SU), and most recently as the Director of the School of Art at Bowling Green State University (1995-2000).

ARTIST TYPE

  • A newcomer to glass, I've yet to create a single thing worth mentioning. My hope is to collaborate with a partner–– who knows considerably more about glass than I–– and create large, kiln-formed or fused photographic images using a variety of image-transfer systems.
