I fell in love with hot glass a few years ago. There is something very calming, yet, at the same time mesmerizing about molten glass in the flame. When I am at the torch hours turn into seconds. I am in a trance.
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to study under Israeli glass artist Ronit Dagan, where I learned, and fell in love with the technique that I call “Ice”. I had further opportunity to explore glass and this technique last summer with Robert Mickelsen (who just happens to have taught Ronit!)
Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to travel to lands afar. Much of my work is inspired by my travels. You can learn more about these particular pieces, and their inspirations on my blog at www.goulashblog.blogspot.com.
