Donate to the Glass Art SocietyHello, Last summer in Louisville, the Glass Art Society turned 40 years old. Over the span of its four decades it has had a terrific life. It has grown, traveled the world, expanded its interests and has worked to bring ideas and people together. GAS is now an international organization dedicated to advancing and promoting excellence in the glass arts. It is an all-purpose and all-inclusive artist-guided organization. It is your organization. It is your friends and a conduit to your wider global community. The Glass Art Society was built to bring us all together and keep us informed. With its newsletter, journal, website postings, and weekly updates it provides you with all of the timely and archived information you seek and also provides information that you might not know existed. GAS also works to provide an international conference each year to continually introduce people to the diversity of our medium, expand the knowledge of those already practicing and to honor those who have pioneered the way. Amazingly, only four full-time staff members, 15 international Board Members and much needed volunteers maintain and produce all of the activities of GAS. Your influence and involvement guides the direction. Your membership, your conference attendance, and generous grants and donations fund the entire organization. So I please ask you to support the Glass Art Society by - Becoming and staying a member of GAS and getting active in your community. - Coming to an annual GAS conference to learn or meet someone new. - And/or donating to any of our funds to maintain and expand the many paths of glass art.
Please keep us going for another 40 years. Please keep us coming together. My thanks and continued best, Jeremy President, Glass Art Society
