Pamela Figenshow Koss, Executive Director

photo_koss.jpgPamela Figenshow Koss, Executive Director, has a strong background in special event coordination, conference and strategic planning, marketing and non-profit membership organization management. Pam's first introduction to nonprofit management was with the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival, where she worked as Assistant Director and managed highly successful Arts and Crafts Fairs, increasing revenue by 30%. She then served as President of the Greater Key West Chamber of Commerce, where she increased membership by nearly 100%. There she worked closely with the hospitality industry, bringing in conventions and cruise ship trade. She was appointed by the State of Florida as Film Commissioner, bringing major film productions to the area. She served as President of the South Snohomish County Chamber of Commerce in Washington State for five years where she developed a strong program of work and increased membership by 40%. There she also developed and executed an Advanced Technology International Trade Forum, bringing technology business leaders from Asia to meet with U.S. companies who completed over five million dollars in business at the conference. After ten years in non-profit organization management, Pam left that position to pursue a lifelong dream of living in Paris, France, for nearly two years. There she studied French, art and her own photography. In returning to the U.S., Pam started her own fine art photography and marketing/public relations consulting firm. Pam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of Washington, and she earned a certificate from the Institute for Organization Management from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, completing a six-year program for organization executives.

Rosie Gaynor, Communications Manager

Rosie_and_Simon.jpgRosie Gaynor joined the Glass Art Society in February 2010. In 2000, she left a seven-year career as a high school English and French teacher to seek out the arts. Since then, she has worked at Seattle Symphony (in development, 2001), Seattle Opera (editing their publications, 2001–2007), NBBJ (creating architecture proposals, 2007–2008), and as a dance blogger and freelance writer (her work has appeared in Pointe, Dance Magazine, and the Financial Times, among others). Rosie is happy to have found glass again: one of her earliest art memories is of her parents purchasing (and cherishing) an abstract, gold-leaf "oar lock" sculpture in Venice in the early '70s.
