The St. Petersburg/Clearwater area is serviced by two major airports St. Petersburg-Clearwater International (PIE), and the award-winning Tampa Bay International Airport (TPA) located about 30 minutes away.  Both are extremely convenient and well-serviced.  PIE offers 56 non-stop destinations.

Ground Transportation in the form of a rental car, taxi, shuttle, or car sharing services, such as UBER, make it easy to get you to and from your St. Petersburg destination.

If you are renting a car, driving around is relatively easy.  Roads generally follow a grid system and there are two major highways, I-75 and I-275, that will connect you to surrounding areas.

One of the cheapest options for getting around downtown St. Pete is THE LOOPER TROLLEY, it is both convenient and a money-saving option (50 cents!) and also includes some free pick up and drop off areas. Follow this link for 6 COOL WAYS TO GET AROUND St. Pete.

FLORIDA FREE RIDES is another option to get around St. Pete (this service does not go to/from the airport). This local company is an environmentally friendly transportation service that gives free rides anywhere on Clearwater Beach.  It’s vehicles, two all-electric open-air vehicles and one mini-van, are paid for by sponsorship opportunities at Visit St. Pete and the team of workers work for and appreciate tips.  They are open 7 days a week from 9 am-3 am, rain or shine, and can transport up to 12 guests at a time.  It is highly recommended you call 727-424-5458 to request a ride.
