Tell us about yourself!
I’m a half-French half-Norwegian stained glass artist based in Oslo, Norway. My interest in glass itself grew stronger after trying out kiln forming, pâte de verre, and coldworking I decided to study for two years at the National School of Glass of Sweden.

What draws you to the material you work with?
Glass is hard but fragile, making the process feel like a relationship, co-working but still able to hurt each other. It works wonderfully with colors and structures that fit my preferences for graphic lines and contrasts while allowing me to bring delicate painting details.

What themes do you pursue in your work?
I’m looking for ways to create space and depth in my designs, trying to step aside from the mosaic style of the traditional stained glass technique. It results in working with layers, large background pieces, and a lot of clear glass to keep the image humble and almost naked, emphasizing the characters.

If you weren't working in this field, what career would you choose?
I’ve enjoyed the idea of becoming a firefighter since I was 13. If I didn't have creative impulsions and liked to go to the gym, I might have been doing just that!

Why are you a member of GAS?
GAS opens doors to the international glass community and allows me to discover amazing glass artists and art places. This year’s conference in Corning was great and I’m looking forward to the next time I’ll be able to participate.
