LETTER FROM GAS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Members,

It is a momentous time for the Glass Art Society (GAS). We have been both overwhelmed and overcome with excitement with the responses we have received from people about our upcoming conference, Il Percorso di Vetro, The Glass Path, in Murano, Italy from May 16-19, 2018.

In my time with GAS, we have never reached capacity for any of our conferences this early.  It is obvious that people really want to go to Murano, a place that holds so much history and knowledge for the world of glass.

We are so grateful to our generous sponsors and to the Italian Committee for their help in making this event possible.  As much as we'd love to provide access to everyone who wants to attend--the island is only so big and our venues can hold only so many people, so says the Murano fire department!

We continue to work to increase capacity in whatever way we can and appreciate your understanding as we try to accommodate as many people as possible.

Murano is a magical place.  We feel fortunate to be able to offer this opportunity to so many of our members.  We know it will go down in the books as a conference that will not be forgotten.

Thank you, as always, for being a part of the Glass Art Society.

Sincerely,

Pamela Figenshow Koss, Executive Director
