Tell us about yourself!

I am Lourdes Zenobi, I am from Buenos Aires Argentina. I discovered the glass world about 7 years ago, before that I was a porcelain painter but glass changed my perspective! Glass filled all the spaces missing.

What draws you to the material you work with, and why have you chosen the processes that you use in your work?

What I love about working with glass is its transparency, the depth, the way that the light passes, the cold and the warmer sensation I can get in my work. My techniques are focused on different ways of printing. I try to explore the benefits of mixing different printing methods.

What themes do you pursue in your work?

My work is about keeping the moments, the ideas.  By taking photos, they are not just a picture for me, it's what keeps all the feelings alive that flow inside me at that exact moment.

What is your dream project?

I would love to create an installation, made by a lot of tiny parts, in a public space

If you weren't working in this field, what career would you choose?

I think that I would be a photographer.

Why are you a member of GAS?

The Glass Art Society keeps me updated about all the news and it allows me to be a part of a larger glass community.
