I am a retired scientist and fused glass artist living in Durham,NC. I have always been interested in patterns of nature, and my artistic themes are often inspired by science, especially the microscopic world. In 1993 I found my passion for fusing glass when I took a workshop by well known glass artist Dan Fenton. Since then I have taken many kilnforming workshops and master classes with Dan and other artists including Klaus Moje, Kirstie Rea and Stacy Smith. I love being inspired and learning new techniques of fusing from others who are passionate about art and glass, and I also enjoy teaching fused glass techniques to others and sharing my enthusiasm. In 2012 I won the Dino Read Foundation Award at the Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild Fair.
