My work is driven by the urge to investigate and push the limits of glass as a material. Developing new ways to work with the surface, and discovering new techniques and methods that draw out unique qualities in the material is my biggest drive.
My passion and deep respect for glass guides me through technical and creative processes often leading me into extensive experiments. These experiments lead me in many directions giving my work a individual and more unconventional aesthetic.
I have always been fascinated by traditional and more classical shapes, which I often use as references in my work. These forms create a calm setting for a more textured and tactile surface. The decoration of a soft and melted expression gives contrast to the static form.
In my latest work I investigated and worked with removing the transparency of the medium, giving the work tactile quality.
