The Glass Art Society holds an annual conference to bring together the international community of glass enthusiasts and artists from every discipline of glass (blowing, hotcasting, kilnworking, stained glass, flameworking, beadmaking, coldworking etc). The conference is a great opportunity for members to network with each other in various capacities: artists connect with gallery owners and others, collectors can meet their favorite artists, technical manufacturers, and suppliers show customers the latest innovations. Through demonstrations, lectures, panel discussions, and more, members are exposed to new techniques and technical advances to further their skills. The conference is an occasion to become involved in the glass world and to make important contacts.
Conference brochures are mailed and posted on the GAS website six months before the conference is scheduled to take place. If you would like to receive a conference brochure in the mail, please contact the GAS office at with your complete mailing address.
Registration is open to all members of the Glass Art Society. If you are not a current member, you can join when you register.
Registration will open in early December for the 2018 Murano Conference.
There are a wide variety of events to satisfy many interests. If the information for the upcoming conference is not yet posted, please check out past conference links for an idea of what to expect at an annual Glass Art Society Conference.
Are you considering collecting museum-quality art with a focus on glass but don't know where to begin? Are you an established collector who believes its time to expand your collection of master glass artists and learn more about younger artists new to the market? The Glass Art Society will help you learn from established collectors, curators and artists — people who can tell you where to begin, who know the market, and who know how to properly display and handle art made with glass.
