The 2022 GAS Conference marks the 50th Anniversary of the Glass Art Society, and we’re celebrating by bringing together the international glass community in Tacoma, Washington.
Next year, we will explore the past 50 years of glass and discuss what the next 50 years holds for making, collecting, and educating. We will also be celebrating the intersectional nature of our community and how those intersections make the glass community so special.

We’re scheduling four action-packed days of glass demonstrations, lectures, lecmos (lecture/demonstrations), panel discussions, networking opportunities, special events, and more. Bringing together more than 1,000 people that share a passion for glass, our conference program features every aspect of working with glass including but not limited to:

Each year, the GAS Conference features approximately 100 presenters from various stages of career development and involvement in the glass community to showcase their expertise, talent, research, and more. From emerging artists to established professionals, our presenters make up a diverse and engaging group of artists, educators, curators, researchers, and administrators that join the conference from all across the globe.
