Tell us about yourself.

I was born in Bellevue, WA but moved around quite a bit when I was a kid – from Kansas, Maryland, Florida, and more. Now a resident of Seattle for many years, I specialize in crafting compelling stories, engaging with diverse audiences, and bringing awareness to GAS and its world-class programming. I have a Bachelor’s of Art History from Northwestern University, a Master’s of Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University, and over 10 years of marketing and communications experience at non-profit organizations, including Northwest African American Museum, Living Computers: Museum + Labs, Chicago Sinfonietta, and the Tucson Museum of Art. When not working at GAS, I spend my time watching movies, playing with my two tuxedo cats, and making deliciously elaborate pie art.

What is something about you that most people don’t know?

When I was an undergrad at Northwestern University, I did some student theater work as a set designer and scenic painter. I still know most of the words to Seussical: The Musical

Why are you a member of the GAS Board/Staff?

I joined the Glass Art Society because of the amazing energy of the organization, the outstanding opportunities on the horizon, and the impressive leadership from Executive Director Brandi Clark. I’ve always had a passion for art and am thrilled to be utilizing my degrees at an arts organization like GAS. It’s exciting to be a part of such a historic organization, and I’m eager to help to bring more attention to glass as a medium and glass artists across the globe.
