Royal Danish Academy

Take a Masterclass in glass and explore the potential of glassblowing and hot-sculpting in a team.  The teacher of this course is the famous Raven Skyriver, who will give you new methods to strengthen your skills!

By exploring what gives a static opject a sense of motion or a hint of life, we will be learning new ways of understanding the technical challenges that working off-center presents.

Teamwork and timing is essential to this process and will allow students to assemble complex forms and thereby challenge a new curiosity and understanding of the material.  Participants will develop a further understanding of their personal and artistic expression in glass.

Price: DKK 6,900 (920 EURO)

Location: The Royal Danish Academy, School of Design--Bornholm, Denmark

Accommodation: Bornholm Folk High School.  A traditional Folk High School with a home-like atmosphere.

Requirements for participation

Applicants should have at least two years of glassblowing experience.  No prior sculpting experience is required.
