GAS Student Exhibition: A Showcase of Emerging International Talent

Artwork for the Student Exhibition will be accepted through the GAS Submittable site until December 9, 2018, @ 11:59 pm EST.

If the student artist chooses to show their work at the conference, they are responsible for shipping both to and from St. Petersburg, FL. Students who are unable to ship their artwork or unable to attend the conference will still be eligible for awards, as all artwork will be juried in advance via the online application.

The Exhibition will run from March 9 - April 26, 2019, at the Morean Arts Center.

Saxe Emerging Artists Panel

Each year the Glass Art Society selects a few emerging artists to make short presentations at its annual conference. Made possible by the Saxe Emerging Artists Lecture Fund, these presentations provide an opportunity for artists with promising talent to introduce their work to a large audience of established artists, educators, peers, collectors, art historians, and critics.

Know an emerging artist?

Submit the artist's full name and contact information to programs@glassart.org before October 29, 2018

Nominated individuals who meet the above criteria will be contacted directly by the Glass Art Society and invited to submit an application. A jury of professionals will review all applicants and determine the presenters for that conference.

See the Emerging Artist criteria here (https://www.glassart.org/saxelecture.html)

The Saxe Emerging Artist Panel will take place on Friday, March 29, 2019, from 4:00 - 5:30 pm.

Poster Presentations

Applications to present during the Poster Presentations for the St. Pete’s Conference will be taken through GAS Submittable site until December 9, 2018, @ 11:59 pm EST.

Student Scholarships

Each year, the Glass Art Society recognizes the achievements and potential of student members currently enrolled in accredited, degree-granting programs. Applications are evaluated by a professional jury, and selected students are awarded scholarships to support them in their goal to learn, connect, and grow as artists at the annual GAS conference.

Applications for a scholarship to attend the GAS Conference will be taken through the GAS Submittable site until December 9, 2018, @ 11:59 pm EST.
