Rees Bowen

Tell us about yourself.

I have been involved with glass art for over 30 years with experience in the creation of several hot shops and galleries in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I look forward to continuing my relationship with this medium.

What draws you to the material you work with?

The extreme versatility the material brings and the juxtapositions encountered in the concept approaches I create within each series.

What themes do you pursue in your work, and why have you chosen the processes that you use in your work?

Many themes express the idea of creating a unique presence in space with each being a continuation of the previous and next. This creates a dichotomy of sorts under a unique parallel.

What is your dream project?

The creation of an exhibition with works that have never before been seen. I want to create a space that is out of this world for people to experience.
