Friday, April 6

Circle the Dragons: Mobile Glass Round-Up -- Register HERE


Morning -- Welcome from Mobile Glassblowing Studios (MGBS) and the Glass Art Society (GAS)!  Topics include: history of art made with glass in Americus, GA (since 1969), green energy options, and a panel on mobile glass furnaces. Afternoon -- Visit the Georgia Southwestern State University Art Department and tour the MGBS factory.  Alzheimer's Glass & Iron will be previewing a silent auction at MGBS.


Evening -- watch demonstrations at a special combined First Friday Americus / GAS SPARK! event with multiple furnaces in play.
After nightfall -- enjoy more demonstrations, live music and fire performers.

2nd Annual Americus Hot Glass Craft Beer Festival -- Get Tickets

This ticketed event features 10 mobile glass furnaces with 30+ demonstrating artists from around the U.S., an artists market, 18 Georgia craft breweries offering samples, 2 Georgia wineries, local food vendors, and several local bands.  This event will sell out--please get your tickets today.
