Our 2020 Annual GAS Conference student opportunities are now open. Check out the details below!
GAS Student Exhibition: A Showcase of Emerging International Talent
The Glass Art Society holds a Student Exhibition each year, officially titled, GAS Student Exhibition: A Showcase of Emerging International Talent. All artwork is submitted via online application, then juried for awards and inclusion into the show. This professional jury will evaluate all eligible student entries and select the winners on the basis of originality, craftsmanship and the creative use of glass. The 2020 GAS Student Exhibition is made possible by the Glass Furnace Foundation.
The Glass Art Society invites Graduate students from accredited colleges to display and discuss their research during regular conference hours.
- Boost your resume by creating a tri-fold display board, a formal poster, or informational hand-outs to present with conference attendees
- Practice public speaking and even collect information for continuing research
- Grow your network by meeting conference attendees and discuss current topics
Acceptance to present research at the annual conference does not include a conference pass or free daily admission to the conference. Talk to your school about financial support to help you attend the conference or apply for a GAS Student Scholarship (see below).
Each year, the Glass Art Society recognizes the achievements and potential of student members currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-granting program. Applications are evaluated by a professional jury, and selected students are awarded scholarships to support them in their goal to learn, connect, and grow as artists at the annual GAS conference.
