CCS will host Hot Demos at their state of the art hot shop, Lectures in the auditorium, Panels in the WB Ford Building, and Lecmos and Demos in the Cold/Mold Shop and 3-D Lab. New this year, enjoy a dedicated quiet space and device recharging station in the CCS Recharge Lounge. Don’t miss this year’s Silent Auction and Goblet Grab + Beverage Tasting, also hosted on the CCS Campus!
DIA- The Detroit Institute of Arts

The Detroit Institute of Arts will host our Wednesday evening Conference Kick-Off with special performances, opening remarks and a demo with Detroit artist Tiff Massey with Hoseok Youn. Thursday-Saturday, enjoy Hot Demos and Lecmos at the Corning Museum of Glass Mobile Hot Shop on the John R. Street face of the DIA. The DIA will also host our Glass Film Festival – stay tuned for a screening schedule soon!
RIC - Russell Industrial Center
1600 Clay St, Detroit, MI
Find Hot Glass Demonstrations at Axiom Glass, RIC Building 1 Floor 5. Flame and Hot Glass Demos and Lecmos and an open studio day at will delight at Michigan Hot Glass, RIC Building 1 Floor 2. Flame Demos continue at Urban Pheasant’s Shop Across the Hall, RIC Building 2 Floor 2. Our Neon Demos and Student Meet-Up will take place with the Michigan Glass Project in the Russell’s Expo Center. GAS Market this year will be right in the middle of the action at the RIC, connected to Michigan Hot Glass at RIC Building 1 Floor 2, along with our Member, Student and Green Exhibitions.
Getting Around with The Detroit Bus Company!
This year, our shuttles will be one of the best parts of the conference! We’ve partnered with Detroit Bus Company, a local nonprofit that uses artist-decorated buses to provide transportation services to Detroit Public Schools and other organizations. Shuttles will run continuously between the Marriott Renaissance Center, CCS/DIA, and the RIC.
Ample paid parking is available at the conference hotel, The Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center. Some paid parking will be available at the CCS Campus. There is NO PARKING AVAILABLE AT OR NEAR THE RUSSELL INDUSTRIAL CENTER. Please utilize the shuttles to get to the RIC, and enjoy meeting new GAS Friends along the way!
