Student Membership provides full access to the GAS community, including resources and opportunities that will support you as you grow in your glass journey.
At GAS, we recognize that students come in many forms, and we are committed to keeping our community accessible to everyone.
We offer TWO Student Membership options designed to support you—choose the level that best matches your educational journey:
1. FREE STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
For students enrolled in a degree-granting program only. Read the instructions below on how to join, then sign up here.
- No annual membership fee
- One-year membership term, offered on a non-renewable basis
- Proof of enrollment in a degree-granting program is required
- Students in any field of study and any type of degree program are eligible.
How to Apply:
- Complete the online application form Provide your name, email, city/country, institution name, program of study, expected graduation date, and file upload.
- Upload proof of enrollment in a degree-granting program Acceptable documentation includes any one of the following:
- A current student ID (must indicate term and year of enrollment)
- A dated letter from a professor on official school letterhead
- A current Term Transcript or Fee Receipt (showing enrollment and institution logo).
- An email from an authorized school representative confirming your enrollment (the email must be sent directly to [email protected])
- Verification period Please allow 5-7 business days for GAS staff to review and verify your eligibility.
- Receive your confirmation email Once approved, you’ll receive an automated “Welcome” email with your Member ID and details on how to access the Member Portal.

2. PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
For students participating in non-traditional or alternative learning pathways, including ongoing public-access classes, community programs, workshops, or other forms of continuing glass education.
- Join with membership dues starting as low as $5. We encourage you to contribute at a level that feels manageable for you, keeping in mind that this membership is valued at $80.
- No proof of enrollment is required; we simply ask that you participate in good faith.
