Build and shape your glass art skills with one of our specialist masterclasses!
Masterclass registration opens on 13 April!
If you are looking to take your technique to the next level, or want to try a different form of glass art, our intensive masterclasses led by experienced tutors are just the thing for you.
From fusing to flame, pâte de verre to glass blowing, students will leave having developed new styles, as well as having a great opportunity to learn and network with other glass artists in a small and intimate group.
Class numbers are kept small to allow for the opportunity of group, independent, and one to one learning.
More information on each course and individual tutors can be found below.

Student numbers are kept small to allow for the opportunity of group, independent, and one to one learning. Class sizes will either be a maximum of 6 or a maximum of 8. All materials will be included, and students should not bring their own materials unless this is specified in the masterclass description.
We reserve the right to cancel masterclasses at any time, and for any reason. If we cancel the masterclass, you will receive a full refund. We require a minimum number of students for masterclasses to run. If we do not meet this minimum number, the masterclass will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund. We do not take responsibility for any travel arrangements or accommodation bookings, and recommend that refundable options or travel insurance are considered by the student in case of cancellation.
If you are unable to attend due to illness or any other reason, your place can be transferred to another person free of charge by you. You must inform the Glass Art Society if a transfer has been made, and provide the contact details of the person the place has been transferred to. We cannot guarantee access to the person if we are unaware that they are attending in your place.
There will be a number of masterclasses running concurrently, and at different lengths. Information on the number of days for the class can be found on the individual class page.
Please wear sensible clothing, shoes, and ensure long hair is secured to give you a safe experience during your masterclass.
Masterclasses will be taking place at both The World of Glass Museum, St Helens, and Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester. Location information can be found on the individual class page.
By booking and paying for your masterclass place, you agree to attend on the days specified.
If you cancel your place before 3rd July 2026, you will be refunded 75% of your fee.
If you cancel your place after 3rd July 2026, no part of the fee will be refunded. All cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected] (email is acceptable).
Accomodation, food and drink are not provided as part of the masterclass fee, though water will be available. Students are welcome to bring their own packed lunches or to purchase food from nearby places. Drinks are permitted during the class, as long as they are contained and secured (such as in a bottle).
Due to the nature of glasswork and the cooling down period, students may need to leave the work at the location after the masterclass has ended. Work can be collected in person when ready with prior agreement, or sent on at an additional cost of £25. Alternatively, the work can be packed and a courier arranged by the student at a cost of £10 (not including courier charges which will be met by the student when arranged).
All courses are the intellectual property of the artist/tutors and the Glass Art Society. No part of the course may be copied or reproduced without prior permission in writing from the tutor.
Photographs will be taken during the course by staff members and tutors for use in promotional material. If you do not want your photo taken, please inform the tutor at the beginning of the masterclass.
We will collect, process and hold your personal data according to our privacy policy.
