From showcasing artwork and presenting research to savings on conference admission – GAS has so many opportunities for our student members!

GAS Student Exhibition: A Showcase of Emerging International Talent

The Glass Art Society holds a Student Exhibition each year, officially titled, GAS Student Exhibition: A Showcase of Emerging International Talent. All artwork is submitted via online application, then juried for awards and inclusion into the show. This professional jury will evaluate all eligible student entries and select the winners on the basis of originality, craftsmanship and the creative use of glass.

Applications will open for the 2024 GAS Student Exhibition later in the year.

Portfolio Review

Gallery owners, curators, educators, and artists will be available to review portfolios of GAS conference attendees. Reviews will last approximately 20 minutes each. You must be registered for the 2024 conference in order to sign up for a portfolio review slot. A limited number of slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to those who sign-up online. If necessary, a waiting list will be kept in case of cancellations.

  • Practice public speaking and even collect information for continuing research
  • Grow your network by meeting conference attendees and discuss current topics

Acceptance to present research at the annual conference does not include a conference pass or free daily admission to the conference.  Talk to your school about financial support to help you attend the conference or apply for a GAS Student Scholarship (see below).
