Artist/Instructor – Hot Glass Class at Sea | Hollywood Hot Glass

Hot Glass Class Instructors work as a team teaching workshops to guests and traveling the world aboard Celebrity Cruises. A qualified candidate must be a team player, great communicator, and possess the following qualifications:
• Minimum of four years of professional glass-blowing experience and/or a BFA with a concentration in Glass
• Teaching experience
• Availability to work 4–5 month contracts with 1-2 months off in between
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to problem-solve independently and work as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Detail-oriented
• Outgoing, positive, and friendly personality
• Ability to adapt and thrive in new environments

Duties
• Provide consistent, high-quality production of all Hot Glass Class (HGC) workshops
• Host a live glassblowing demonstration at the beginning of each sailing
• Provide informative instruction to all guests throughout their workshop
• Maintain full function of all HGC equipment, including, but not limited to, the furnace, annealers and glory holes
• Perform all duties in a first class, professional manner, and ensure that HGC’s premises are maintained to the highest possible standard
• Conduct yourself in a safe and workmanlike manner
• Uphold all safety policies and procedures of HGC and Celebrity Cruise Lines (CCL)
• Be on time for each shift and all workshops
• Work with Revenue Marketing Director onboard to execute existing and/or new marketing strategies
• Be responsible for the overall quality of the HGC program aboard CCL
• Work as a team player to ensure efficient scheduling, creative thinking, and quality customer experience
• Meet and exceed all HGC and CCL standards of professionalism, demeanor, and work ethic at all times
• Keep accurate and up-to-date inventory of supplies
