Welcome to 2026 and the new GAS Network!

We have a lot of big things planned for this year, and we wanted to make sure you didn’t miss any of them, so we’re excited to kick things off with our new digital newsletter. GAS Network will come to you every other month to keep you informed and connected.

GAS Network is a place for us to share all of our upcoming plans and the exciting opportunities that come with them. It is also a place for us to pull back the curtain and show you the inner workings of our organization—what drives and inspires us—and to introduce you to new voices in our community. Not only will you be the first to hear about the latest ways GAS is working to connect, inspire, and empower, but you will also be an integral part of the process.

2026 is about hyping our community and the incredibly talented people who are part of it—you. This summer is going to be packed with glassy activities, and we can’t wait to experience them together.

Corning 2026 Conference | June 3–6

In June, we gather in Corning, New York, for the annual GAS Conference—an event that always feels like a glass family reunion. For many of us, it’s where ideas spark, collaborations begin, and long-distance friendships are renewed. Corning’s deep roots in glass make it the perfect place to come together, reflect on where we are as a field, and imagine where we’re headed next. 2026 marks the 75th anniversary of the Corning Museum of Glass, and the eighth time the GAS Conference will be held there. We are so excited to celebrate this monumental milestone with our longtime partners.

GAS Travels: Nordic Countries | July 7–19

Soon after, we’ll take to the road (and sea!) with GAS Travels: Nordic Countries, an adventure that invites us to slow down, look closely, and experience glass through new cultural lenses. From studios and institutions to landscapes that have shaped centuries of making, this journey is about curiosity, connection, and the joy of learning alongside one another.

International Festival of Glass | August 27–31

And for the first time ever, we are thrilled to present the International Festival of Glass in North West England. This landmark event brings together artists, thinkers, and glass lovers from around the world for a celebration of making, exchange, and global community. It represents the expansion of so much of what GAS stands for—openness, collaboration, and the belief that glass connects us across borders. But even more importantly, it allows us to share the love and passion of our community with the public and people who may not have experienced the joys of this material we love so much.

These events are more than dates on a calendar. They are opportunities to show up, share space, and be reminded that this community is bigger, bolder, and more generous than any one of us alone. Whether you’re joining us in person, following along from afar, or finding new ways to engage through the GAS Network, you are an essential part of what makes this all possible.

Thank you for being here, for believing in the power of community, and for continuing to shape the future of glass with us. We can’t wait to see where this year takes us—together.

With excitement for what’s ahead,

Brandi P. Clark, GAS Executive Director + CEO
