Hot Sand glass studio in Asbury Park, NJ is looking for experienced Glass Blowers. Hot Sand is a public Hot Shop and Glass Gallery in its 18th year that is located in Asbury Park, along the Jersey Shore.
We are looking for glass blowers with a minimum of 2-3 years and preferably more years of professional working experience.
The position requires the ability to produce and reproduce high quality blown glass objects, experience managing the day to day operations of the studio, and experience rebuilding and maintaining glass studio equipment.
We are looking to hire people who are outgoing, positive and are able to work well as part of a team.
Benefits include:
- Competitive Hourly base Rates: starting pay is $16 – $ 20 depending on skill.
- Tips (Average $10+ per hour)
- Up to 2 hours/week of Free studio rental time includes Clear Glass and Access to all equipment
- Use of Hot Sand’s Cold Working equipment and kilns (when available)
- Ability to sell approved work for consignment in our gallery, 60% of gross sales paid to the artist.
- Up to 40 hours of paid sick leave per year.
