In this role, you will be crafting intricate glass components for jewelry, including lampwork cabochons and beads. You will have the opportunity to learn and master the art of poured glass and specialize in creating unique blown glass animal bodies. This position demands a keen eye for detail, a steady hand, and a love for transforming glass into beautiful, wearable art.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create lampwork cabochons and beads for jewelry pieces.
- Learn and apply techniques in poured glass to produce distinctive jewelry components.
- Craft blown glass animal bodies, adding a unique flair to our jewelry collections.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop new jewelry lines and custom pieces.
- Ensure that all glass components meet our high-quality standards and aesthetic requirements.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Experience:
- Experience in lampwork, glass blowing, or a related glass craft is highly valued.
- A portfolio showcasing your skills in glass art, particularly any work related to jewelry.
- Eagerness to learn new glassworking techniques and apply them creatively.
- Proficiency in handling and manipulating glass under high temperatures.
